About Me

My name is Nawar, and my journey has been shaped by humble beginnings and traditional beliefs. Over the course of 17 years in the corporate world, I had the privilege of living in five different countries, which deepened my curiosity about human behaviour, body language, psychology, personal growth, and the timeless quest for true happiness.


From a young age, I was captivated by the complexities of the human mind. That passion drove me to pursue a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Liverpool, which I proudly achieved at the age of 36. I’ve always believed that solutions to human suffering exist—many psychological, behavioural, and cognitive challenges are simply a matter of neural pathways becoming tangled in the wrong way. With the right tools and persistence, I’m convinced we can untangle those knots and create meaningful change.


Years of research led me to discover Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and it felt like I’d found my calling. I immersed myself in this transformative field and enrolled at the Institute of Counselling in Scotland, where I graduated with honours at 38.


This website is an extension of my passion—a space to share my philosophies, offer insights, and create a portal where visitors can learn, grow, and find their own paths to healing and self-improvement.

What is CBT?

What is CBT?

CBT or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a style of talk therapy, it suggests that our thoughts, feelings and behaviours are connected somehow. Take an example someone cuts you off in traffic, you might think that they don’t respect you or the traffic rules, you will feel upset and angry, and start speeding, trying to cut them off and teach them a lesson in driving or manners.

CBT is all about challenging those negative thoughts and providing better and more positive explanations. If we take the same example, instead of assuming the driver has a personal vendetta against you, which is highly unlikely, you might as well assume the driver is busy talking to his significant other on the phone, dropped their hot coffee in their lab, or their kids started a UFC session in the back seat.

When we offer an alternative and more constructive justification, we ease our minds and leave room for more important tasks for us to solve.
